China Toy Association(CTA), established in 1986, is the sole national organization of the toy industry in China and the sole legal representative in ICTI appointed by Chinese government. It is recognized as the authoritative voice of China toy industry by the government, the trade, the media and consumers.Registered members consist of producers and distributors of toys, hobbies,games and children entertainment products.The associate members include toy testing laboratories, design firms and education institutions.
The purpose of CTA is to promote healthy development of the toy industry by acting as the liaison between Chinese government and the industry.CTA routinely provides information and holds training seminars on toy safety,product designing and market development.CTA organizes international toy fair in Shanghai and organizes China Pavilion at Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair,Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair, Nurnberg and American International Toy Fair annually.CTA keeps good communication with the government.The government usually consults CTA on issues affecting the toy industry.
The general management functions of CTA are performed by the President and the Secretariat. The Secretariat is based in Beijing.

Objectives of CTA
1.Assist government to establish industry development plan and contribute suggestions to government to work out related national policies and regulations
2.Promote government policies and regulations to the industry and present the interests of toy industry to government and relative organizations
3.Work with China National Standard Committee to revise China toy safety standards and promote the standards to the industry
4.Keep communication with prominent organizations and media from home and abroad to promote collective interests of China toy industry
5.Foster innovation and fair trade competition to improve and develop healthy trade and manufacturing
6.Deliver latest information on government policies, marketing, product development and trade statistics to members and concerned parties periodically
7.Conduct trainings and seminars to improve the qualification of concerned professionals
8.Boost communication and exchange of views in the industry to offer more opportunities to learn market trends and new technology
9.Organize international trade shows in China and organize China pavilion at international trade fairs
10.Educate consumers about the importance of toy safety and the educational value of play |
